Beyond Sustainability

Pathways for Integrating Holistic Practices
into your Creative Work - *FREE WORKSHOP 6TH may

What if sustainability felt like a coming home to what you’ve always known as true?

WHAT IF SUSTAINABILITY MEANT YOU GOT TO EXPERIENCE GREATER LEVELS OF JOY, PLEASURE, CONNECTION & CREATIVITY?

WHAT IF SUSTAINABILITY WASN’T A MERE ADD-ON BUT A CELEBRATION OF LIFE?

This is exactly what I’ve been exploring through my research, practice and life the past ten years. Join me for a free virtual workshop where I will share some of these learnings with you.

On 6th May 1pm CST/ 8pm BST/ 9am CEST/ 5am AEST (7th May), we will gather and co-create a space together and engage with sustainability in deeper ways.

Whether you work in the industry, run your own business, are a student, or scholar, in fashion-textiles, design, creative fields, or are just interested in holistic approaches to living, I would love to invite you to this online gathering.

For approximately two hours we’ll explore place-based, relational, autonomous and holistic ways of engaging with your current practice and work. I will take you through some of my experiential and embodied methods to get you thinking and connecting in different ways.

This is a *free event and is open to all, you just need to register at the link below.

For those who cannot make the live call a recording will be sent out to you in the following days and you will have 7 days to watch it.

WHY??

For years I felt disillusioned, frustrated and disengaged within the modern fashion-textile and sustainability spaces.

I would go to conferences and events and always feel like something was missing.

I was burnt out from the industry, over-worked and disconnected from my purpose, filled with ‘shoulds’ of what I was to be doing and how.

It wasn't until I started looking deeper beyond the surface that this all began to shift.

In my research and practice I started exploring holistic approaches to fashion-textiles and sustainability.

Approaches grounded in the understanding that we are all interconnected—human and more-than-human.

Approaches that honour place, context, and the rich diversity that exists there.

Approaches that respect the authenticity, autonomy, and sovereignty of each community, rather than imposing one-size-fits-all solutions.

Approaches that value both the material world and the mystery.

This changed everything.

I began relating to my research, making practice and work differently.

I started sensing and feeling more connected, to myself, others, to the Earth.

More vitality, energy, creativity, flow and purpose emerged.

Deeper levels of intimacy with life became the norm.

More resilience and capacity to deal with the complexities of the industry and the broader world.

My ability to envision other possibilities awakened and a trust in enacting these into reality.

And…so much more.

Sustainability is a living, breathing everyday practice that goes beyond swapping out materials or tweaking processes.

It has to be lived relationally in the everyday.

In order to create something different in this world(s), we need different approaches.

This is a space where we will cultivate not knowing, opening ourselves up to deeper questions and different possibilities.
